BAKED SPINACH DUMPLINGS IN CREAMY SAUCE

For the spinach dumplings

4 teacups finely chopped spinach leaves

1 teacup crumbled paneer

2 pinches nutmeg powder

1/2 teaspoon chopped green chilli

6 teaspoons plain flour (maida)

2 pinches baking powder

salt to taste

For the baking

2 teacups white sauce

3 tablespoons grated cooking cheese

Spinach and cottage cheese make these dumplings superb in taste.

Preparation time : 25 minutes.

Cooking time : 25 minutes.

Serves 4.

For the spinach dumplings

Steam the spinach leaves for 5 minutes. Squeeze out the water.

Mix all the ingredients and shape into small balls.

Steam for 4 to 5 minutes.

How to proceed

Place the dumplings in a baking dish.

Pour the white sauce on top and sprinkle the grated cheese on top.

Bake in a hot oven at 200 degree C (400 degree F) for 15 minutes.

Serve hot.
