Kanda-Methi Nu Shaak

Fenugreek-Onion Vegetable


3-4 tbsp oil

1 green chilli, slit

500 gm onions, chopped into small cubes

1 bunch fresh fenugreek leaves, roughly chopped

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp chilli powder

1 tbsp jaggery

Salt to taste


1. Heat oil in a frying pan and sauté the green chilli and onions. Fry till onions are semi- cooked. Sprinkle a little water if it sticks to the pan.

2. Add fenugreek leaves, salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder. Cook until both the vegetables are completely soft. Add jaggery and take it off the stove. Serve hot with rotis.
