SPINACH PAKODA CHAAT

SPINACH PAKODA CHAAT

10 to 15 spinach leaves

3/4 teacup gram flour (besan)

1/2 teaspoon chilli powder

salt to taste                    

oil for deep frying

For serving

sweet chutney

chllii powder

cumin seed powder

fresh curds

A different type of chaat.

 Preparation time : 10 minutes.

Cooking time : 10 minutes.

Serves 6.

Mix the gram flour, chilli powder, salt and enough water to make a thick batter .

Dip a few spinach leaves at a time into the batter. Drop them in hot oil and deep fry until crisp.

Place the hot pakodas on a serving plate.

Serve with sweet chutney, chilli powder, cumin seed powder and fresh curds.
