Guru Gobind Singhs legacy

The tenth Guru, Gobind Singh, re-edited the SGGS and gave it finishing touches at Damdama Sahib. Bhai Mani Singh did all the writing work. The vanis composed by the ninth Guru, Tegh Bahadur, were also included.

The complete Guru Granth Sahib is voluminous in size. There are as many as 1,430 pages. A major portion of the great treatise is in the common language of the saints - Sadhukari bhasha - the rest is in Sanskrit and Persian. Though it has already been translated into many languages, the scripture is not easily available. Thanks to modern printing techniques, though, it is not as rare now.
